16.8, released at COMITIA 108 on May 5, 2014, is the 12th Material Edition written by Kunori Fumio. The story is a direct sequel to 16.7[1]. It is the third chapter in the Forest Home series and is equivalent to Sugary Days 3.[2]
Plot[]
Part 1[]
On the first morning in his log house, Kirito contemplated about the accuracy of the five senses in Aincrad while preparing for a bath. At the end of his deliberation, he joined Asuna, who was already in the tub. The girl decided to add a rare herb that, along with giving a three-hour poison immunity buff, made the bath feel like a hot spring. Sitting in front of each other, the couple discussed how their bath felt much more realistic than any other bath they had taken in Aincrad. After multiple theories on the matter had been debunked by Asuna, Kirito stretched his legs, accidentally brushing something soft, which he later discovered was Asuna's leg. Intrigued, Kirito continued rubbing it with his feet and eventually reached for it with his right hand.
Part 2[]
After the bath, Kirito and Asuna cooled themselves by drinking iced water. Still half-wet and clothed in bath towels, they continued on their previous discussion. Ultimately, they concluded that the cause of the more realistic sensation of bathing was that both had disabled the «Moral Code» and had removed all of their clothes.
