Assuming a defensive stance, the user performs a near-instantaneous counter against incoming attacks. The second hit deals much heavier damage than the first.
The strongest Sword Skill for One-Handed Sword users. Nova Ascension delivers a chain of nine slashes and a final forward thrust that does higher damage.
A very swift, mid-range throw of the user's weapon. Lowest damage and shortest range out of the three weapon throws, but has significantly shorter start-up lag and post-motion delay than both of its counterparts, Blast Spear and Catapult Tomahawk.
After a forward charge, the user makes a downward slant. Has lengthy start-up lag and the fixed-direction forward charge has no hitbox. Very tricky to use.
Assuming a blocking stance, the user performs a quick counter to incoming attacks. The first hit breaks the target's stance while the second hit does heavy damage.
The most advanced Sword Skill provided in the Two-Handed Sword skill tree, Ray Brandish is a full-power downward slash with such force as to cause a tectonic fracture in a medium-ranged straight line in front of the user, dealing multiple extra hits beyond the highly damaging actual slash.
Winds back and charges up energy, then performs a strong overarm throw of the user's weapon. Has slightly less range than the Spear-type counterpart Blast Spear but longer range than the Dagger-type Quick Throw. Highest damage and longest start-up lag and post-motion delay out of the three weapon throws.
Channels energy into the user's weapon, which then is used to perform a hard-hitting downward swing, releasing the channeled energy and causing heavy damage. Very long start-up lag and medium-long ending lag with deceptively short range.
The strongest Sword Skill for Mace users. This skill delivers a downwards swing that sends sparks flying from the powerful impact. Sparks cause extra hits in an area around the initial swing.
Spinning the spear overhead, the user then proceeds to make a strong, sideways slash using the momentum from the spin. The initial spin also hits once for standard Sword Skill damage while the actual slash does three times as much. Actual slash has slightly longer reach than the spear spin.
Holding their spear in a harpoon grip, the user forcefully throws it at the target. Has higher damage than its Dagger-type counterpart Quick Throw but less damage than the Axe-type Catapult Tomahawk. Longest range out of the three weapon throws.
Mother's Rosario in Lost Song is nearly identical to the canon version[† 1], beginning with a straight line of five stabs from the top right to the bottom left, and after pulling their weapon back, follows up with another line of five more stabs, with the third stabs of the two lines overlapping each other. Making a full-body tilt to the right, the user again pulls back their weapon, ending the skill with a final high-speed thrust. This thrust results in a roughly plus-shaped blast, more powerful than the earlier ten stabs, knocking down anything in its way.
A unique OSS that utilizes blacksmith magic to summon weapons out of thin air around the user. By leveling and maxing the said skill, Rain is able to materialize swords from her inventory through what she describes as "small openings in existence". The actual skill itself launches the swords brought forth to a specific target in rapid succession. With no known maximum on the amount of objects used in one cast, Thousand Rain possesses immense power, its potential limited only by the number of swords Rain decides to carry.
A unique OSS inspired by the Norse one-armed god of war, Týr. By projecting a manifestation of Týr's left arm onto his own, Sumeragi is able to unleash a single long-ranged, devastating slash.

Notes[]
↑The only difference is the fact that Asuna's version of the OSS is depicted as being light lime/blue rather than violet, matching her other Rapier skills' effect color.
↑The OSS summons three layers of swords doing a single hit apiece, with five swords in the innermost layer and ten in the other two, for a grand total of twenty-five.
