  • What you called fan art is actually the official visual for the Mother's Rosario arc of the anime. We just don't use it for the article as the novel version is a better representation of the arc.

  • I made a mistake when I mentioned Cait Siths. However, I still think it is not accurate. I'm not sure if Pina can be considered animal.

    • ZeHaffen's edit was based on the book. The book clearly said "small animal-type monsters" (小動物型モンスター). If you don't consider Pina to be an animal, then what is it? A plant, fungus, protozoa, bacterium or a virus?

    • A monster. There was no reference so I didn't know that.

    • Monster basically refers to any computer-controlled opponent that the player can face in the game, including elves and plants. So, "monster" isn't really specific. And based on the author's phrasing, plants and elves can't be made into pets.

    • The official translation says "Of course, you can't tame every single monster in the game. Only a few species of small-animal types are eligible." The "small-animal type" is referring to a type of monster, which is a type that Pina fits given its size.

Not sure how that part is phrased in the JP version, though I doubt it's not incredibly similar.

  • Items and other content that were only unofficially named for the sake of having a name for the article should not be referred to by the unofficial name. It's preferred to just use a descriptive name for the item or whatever else is not named to not give the impression that the name is official. If you wish to create a link, you should make it into a link with a caption, for example, Kirito's greatsword ([[Black Iron Greatsword|Kirito's greatsword]]).

  • The descriptions for the Sleeping Knights comes from the novel, not the anime (since Mother's Rosario hadn't even aired at the time).

For Jun, his sword was called 大剣, which literally means "big sword". The Japanese wikipedia defines it either as a "two-handed sword" or a "greatsword" (both terms are in pseudo-English). Ironically, both articles actually link to the Zweihänder English article, which isn't even English, but German instead (do sword enthusiasts really need to use foreign terms for their swords to sound cool?).

For Tecchi, eh... there seems to have been a mistranslation, since it was apparently actually called a tower shield, but the tower part was omitted in the fan translation. However, it was described as (sliding) door-like (戸板の如き) either way. As for his weapon... another mistranslation. The actual word used was ヘビーメイス, pseudo-English for "heavy mace". Nothing about discs were mentioned.

However, for Nori, her weapon was called 鋼鉄長棍 (クオーター・スタッフ), so it was intended to be a quarterstaff (the actual Japanese, not the pseudo-English furigana, says long cane/staff), though it was actually supposed to be steel, not iron.

P.S. I didn't look at the Japanese terms at the time of writing the articles.

    • As long as it doesn't conflict with canon, you are free to use anime designs for descriptions. But you need to add a reference which medium did you use for that information. I've added the novel references, so all you have to do is to add a reference for where you saw the disks, in case the source needs to be looked up in the future.

  • Hi, welcome to Sword Art Online Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Kobatz page.

For starters, here are a few common mistakes that new users make: both British English and American English are fine on this wikia, so do not change one for the other redundantly; only official content from sources like the light novel, anime and manga are allowed on this wikia. Also, please try to reference any facts, as they may be removed for being considered speculation otherwise.
