- The name of this character is alternatively translated as Xiahou Dun (Yen Press).
Kakouton has the appearance of an ancient Chinese general to match his name. He has a stern face with a beard and a sturdy chin. He also wears a helmet, which he opens to use an aim correcting eyepiece on his right eye, and wears general warrior-type armour. The only piece of his equipment that does not quite fit in with the image of an ancient Chinese general is his weapon, the «Norinco CQ311» assault rifle, but even the rifle was specifically chosen to match his appearance, as the Norinco CQ311 is manufactured by a Chinese company.
After Death Gun killed Pale Rider and escaped, Kirito wanted to chase him and Sinon told him that she would be going too to ensure that Kirito did not die before the end of their battle. While they were distracted by talking to each other, Kakouton tried to kill them, but Kirito noticed him and, with lightning speed, used his Kagemitsu G4 to deflect the incoming bullets. After recovering from his temporary shock due to the unexpected turn of events, Kakouton hid in the shadows behind a rock and, after reloading, continued firing wildly at Kirito again, but all of his shots were again deflected. After the second barrage was deflected, Kirito called for Sinon to fire, and she killed him with a single shot from her PGM Ultima Ratio Hecate II, despite her lack of concentration at the time.
