Floating Castle Aincrad, Floor DataEdit

First FloorEdit

Aincrad is broadly conical in shape, so the lowest floor is the largest. The circular floor is about six miles across with a surface of over thirty square miles. Because of its size, there is a large variety of terrain to be found. At the southern tip of the landmass is the Town of Beginnings, a city over half a mile across, surrounded by a semicircular wall. Outside of the city are rippling plains filled with boars and wolves, as well as insect monsters such as worms, beetles, and wasps. Across the field to the northwest is a deep forest, while the northeast holds swampy lowlands dotted with lakes. Beyond these regions lie mountains, valleys, and ruins, each full of powerful monsters.

Aside from the Town of Beginnings, the floor is dotted with a number of other settlements of various sizes, the most prosperous of which is Tolbana, a valley town closest to the floor’s labyrinth. At the northern end of the floor is a squat tower three hundred yards across and a hundred yards tall—the first-floor labyrinth.

The boss of the first floor is Illfang the Kobold Lord, who wields a curved blade. Illfang is always accompanied by three Ruin Kobold Sentinels clad in metal armor and armed with halberds.

Second FloorEdit

A savanna realm covered in plains and boulders, the second floor is roughly the same size as the first floor. Mesas loom over the plains, dotted with small caves through which underground rivers run. The second floor is divided into a wide-open northern half and a narrow southern half. The western fields are home to dangerous wild oxen, while the wastelands beyond that are prowled by even more deadly creatures.

The main city of the second floor which contains the teleport gate that allows travel to other floors, is Urbus, a settlement carved directly down into a three-hundred-yard-wide mesa top, with only the outer perimeter left standing. Just two miles to the southeast of Urbus is a small village called Marome.

The boss of the second floor (according to the beta test) is Baran the General Taurus. Baran uses a golden two-handed battle hammer. He is accompanied by Nato the Colonel Taurus. Tauruses are a dangerous race in particular, due to their paralysis-causing sword skill, Numbing Impact.
